Solas was asked to develop a model for recreational / athletic clubs and spas that could be rolled out nationally in a number of locations.

Part of the development of this nationwide model was the construction of two recreational centers in Beaverton and Colorado Springs. These 88,000 sq ft buildings accommodate gymnasiums, group exercise studios, child day care facilities, lounge/cafés, locker rooms, day spas, indoor and outdoor lap, aquatic, child and adult leisure pools and administrative areas.

These contemporary buildings break down the mass of their large footprint into playful compositions of smaller elements that respond to the surrounding streetscapes and define the exterior leisure and pool areas that they overlook.
